Introducing our new home

Finally we packed everything from 24 Heritage Dr and moving to our new home, 35 Blue Spruce.

After exhilarative, exhaustive and memorable experience of building a house, I am on Cloud Nine :)

Almost there

We are closing on Nov 7th which is less than 2 weeks now. Final walk through will be on 3rd November.

Allmost all the things are in place now, lights, cabinets, counter tops, wall colors, bathroom fixtures on and on and on....

Fresh green lawn is growing. Letter box is also placed.

Interior - painting started

Painting has started now. Only 3 weeks to go.

Kitchen cabinets and counter tops are also installed.

Brick walk way selection

Today we went to Harkens Market to do the brick walk way selection. One more task done.

Ram and Jai loved it.

I asked 'Jai, I liked this stone patio very much' he said immediately, ' Mama no we can not, it takes lot of money and now we don't have much'

Today we visited to so see so many surprises.

Stairs and railing work is completed. Now we need to decide on stain colors.

Special order bath tub in Ram and Jai's shared bathroom is installed. Next addition would be shower doors.

Fireplace mantle and hearth is placed.

Deck is finally ready

Most of all wood planks are delivered to be installed next week

It is fun to see everything being installed and house is getting ready using our selections.

Lighting Fixtures selection done

It took 3 visits to finalize light fixtures. Finally all work done. We did great job here. Thanks to Frank from Connecticut Lighting.

Internals - Insulation started

Today we visited Rob for bunch of items for clarifications and selection confirmations.

Baba wanted to visit site during their work time to see how they work. He was curious about how they put insulation.

It looks like they have finished most of the exterior items, excluding those small roof portions.

Today we visited the house, it is fascinating to see it getting built as we had imagined on paper before few months.

Brick work on front side is finished. They have almost finished sidings work on rest of the three sides. All the windows are in place now.

Lots of things are going on inside. Both fireplaces are installed, electrical wiring is going on, plumbing and bathroom works are going on. Central vacuum system is also getting installed.

Basement floor and garage flooring is also done.

Selections are going on for counter tops (granite and cultured marble), we have appointment tomorrow for lighting fixtures.

We were told that, we will get a beautiful sunset. Indeed....

Internls - Electrical work started

Once the roof is in place, they have started full blown on internal work. Today when we visited lots of plumbing work, electrical work as well as central vac work had started.

Front brick work started

One of the exciting thing we were waiting for was to see how are the bricks going to look. Brick selection was very very confusion and finally went with safe selection.

Really excited to see it started, now desperate to see it finished for whole house.

Entry door is import to house and yes we spend good enough time on entry door selection. Today when we visited they were installed.
