Front brick work started

One of the exciting thing we were waiting for was to see how are the bricks going to look. Brick selection was very very confusion and finally went with safe selection.

Really excited to see it started, now desperate to see it finished for whole house.

Finally the entry doors of our selection

Entry door is import to house and yes we spend good enough time on entry door selection. Today when we visited they were installed.

Front doors are installed.

Framing done and roofing almost finished

Today we visited site after a gap of 2-3 days. There were so many updates. Framing is almost finished. Roofing was also about to complete. Rob said they will start electrical sometime next week. We also saw windows in the garage, they will be installed in next 2-3 days.

As of now we have selected appliances, cabinets and have been through first round of selections for granite counter tops.

We have a electrical walk-through on Monday with Mark.

Fireplace mantle selection

Fireplace mantle selection is getting delayed because of kitchen cabinets. We are still struggling with which color either white of some darker shade.

We asked for some higher designs but still not sure what to do.

Update on July 31: We finally decide to go with white fireplace mantle with granite rock for family bedroom. For master bedroom we will not put mantle but put stones surrounding it.

Door selection

One of the very import selections is entry door selection. Rob suggested to go with standard painted doors with oval glass. When we looked at brochure we liked the higher models in classic craft and fiber classic. Finally after multiple back and forth with Rob on various different quotes we finally wend for Fiber classic.
